Archetypes of Passage: a curated collection of large-format sculptural wall works by Sándor Móga.
The Concept
Archetypes of Passage is a collection of five large-format decorative wall plates conceived as a coherent visual system rather than a linear narrative. Each work evokes a distinct archetypal state — metamorphosis, ritual transition, human belonging, vegetal origin, and solar transcendence — while remaining united by a consistent material language, sculptural logic, and chromatic restraint.
The plates do not illustrate specific stories; instead, they operate through symbolic form, rhythm, and surface, allowing each theme to resonate intuitively and independently. This structure offers both conceptual clarity and interpretive openness, enabling the works to function individually or as a composed ensemble.
Designed at an architectural scale, the collection is intended for spatial environments where art, materiality, and light interact — such as villas or yachts. The series provides a strong curatorial identity while remaining flexible in placement, sequencing, and contextual integration, making it adaptable to refined contemporary interiors.
Organic structures emerge in a restrained, contemplative rhythm, recalling growth, stillness, and the memory of nature.

Each work originates from the artist’s direct formal vision, with its final appearance shaped through nuanced material decisions and uniquely resolved surface processes, executed in copper and finished with pure silver. Each piece achieves its final appearance through the interaction of noble metals, oxides and controlled patination, resulting in a distinct and unrepeatable surface character.
Each work bears the original “Móga” proof mark, applied directly into the metal, and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity issued by L’Art Moderne Galerie.
